This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new condition. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes. The lastest addition of the Bostitch Magnesium family is finally here! The new Bostitch FN16250K-2 shoots from 1-1/4" to 2-1/2" 16 ga. finish nails. Of course this all-magnesium body tool is the lightest in its class, but more importantly, is is simply the toughest and most durable. With its oil-free design, daily lubrication is no longer necessary. You can use this every day, all day, and its built to handle it! Also, look for other great features like the rear exhaust, easy-to-load magazine, out of nails indicator and soft grips where needed.

you can't beat the price either. The tool was a great deal and has performed well since purchase. I bought it for a finish carpentry job in my home and it's been perfect.
After shooting nearly 900 2" nails, the Bostich has performed flawlessly. Then I found the reconditioned nailer on Amazon for about 1/2 the price of new and decided to try it. I am very pleased. I was looking for a low-cost finish nailer and wouldn't consider the Bostich based on the price. It looked brand new out of the box with just a little bit of paint missing from the raised lettering "BOSTICH." I would consider buying another reconditioned Bostich tool. The Bostich was only $20 more retail than a Hitachi I was considering. However, I went to the local "Big Box" home improvement store and compared nailers. The Bostich is lighter than a lot of other nailers.
I guess this is part of the risk when you buy that kind of tools. The amount of scratches on the body showed that this unit had been used quite a bit before being reconditioned. The other reviewer was more lucky. The nailer double fires on at least 50% of the nails. It seemed like the trigger fired both on the press and release motion.
Free shipping added to the very good value. The storage case is a high quality plastic with metal snaps. All manuals and package(1000) of 16 gauge 2" nails were included. The product arrived as expected. I am very satisfied with this purchase. It also included 4 profile tips useful for trim applications. The unit looks brand new except for a few tiny scratches on the Bostitch raised lettering. It performs just as new, with plenty of power to drive even the 2-1/2" finish nails into hardwoods.
